टैगोर पीजी कॉलेज, सूरतगढ़ की स्थापना वर्ष 2004 में टैगोर मेमोरियल विद्यालय समिति द्वारा की गई थी, जो टैगोर एजुकेशनल ग्रुप के अंतर्गत कार्य करती है। यह संस्था शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में 50 से अधिक वर्षों का अनुभव रखती है।
टैगोर पीजी कॉलेज एक प्रतिष्ठित सह-शिक्षा संस्थान है, जो Maharaja Ganga Singh University, बीकानेर से संबद्ध है। कॉलेज ने पिछले 22 वर्षों से शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता बनाए रखी है। यहां के विद्यार्थी प्रशासनिक सेवाओं, न्यायिक सेवाओं, पुलिस सेवाओं में चयनित हुए हैं तथा सामाजिक उद्यमी, व्यवसायिक नेता, खिलाड़ी और फिल्म, कला एवं संस्कृति के क्षेत्र में भी महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे रहे हैं।
कॉलेज में स्नातक स्तर पर BA, BSc (मेडिकल एवं नॉन-मेडिकल), BCom और BCA जैसे पाठ्यक्रम उपलब्ध हैं। इसके साथ ही स्नातकोत्तर स्तर पर MSc (कंप्यूटर साइंस और केमिस्ट्री) भी कराया जाता है। शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में BA BEd और BSc BEd जैसे एकीकृत पाठ्यक्रम संचालित किए जाते हैं, और संस्थान ITEP (इंटीग्रेटेड टीचर एजुकेशन प्रोग्राम) को लागू करने की दिशा में अग्रसर है।
संस्थान का मुख्य उद्देश्य गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा प्रदान करना है, विशेष रूप से ग्रामीण और वंचित वर्ग के विद्यार्थियों को।
